I love being outside, and when I have to be inside, I am usually drawn to furnishings and decor inspired by the outdoors.  So this week, is filled with little reminders of nature.

Bryan made this hat / coat rack for our shop from reclaimed wood.  I added the leaf design, using different shades of green for the leaves.  You can watch how I decorated it here.

After so many people outfits, this week I am dressing up a living room, because rooms want to look awesome too!

Reclaimed Birch Tree Hat Rack from Feath & Kee

This hat/ coat/ accessory rack from our shop was made entirely from a reclaimed birch tree.  Not wanting to spoil the natural beauty, Bryan chose not to apply a finish.  So, this is a very eco-friendly option.

Made from reclaimed oak wine barrels, this flooring from The Workshop By The Vintage Wood Floor Company is gorgeous.  As you can see from the picture, in addition to the beautiful patina, it has the cooper's stamps and winery markings.

Custom Sofa from Blue Chair Upholstery

Sarah and Kevin at Blue Chair Upholstery rebuilt this vintage sofa.  I love the awesome fabric choices.  All of their work is custom, so you could request that they make a sofa just like this one, or work with them to create a piece to your own specifications.

It has been a busy week, and you can start to finally feel the chill in the air that marks the end of  the brief break that we have in North Texas between extremely hot to freezing cold.  With that in mind, it is always nice to curl up with a good book and relax.  This week's finds should help you to do exactly that.

Worry Jar from Feath & Kee

It is not usually a good idea to carry your worries around with you.  Lighten your burden a bit by writing down your worries and putting them away in this up-cycled mason jar.  I painted it in shades of gray, with the label area in silver to remind you of silver linings.  It was listed in our shop just this week.

How to Wear it Wednesday 7.22.15

This week, I thought that it would be fun to put together items for a table.  The item that I chose from our shop, is an organizer for jewelry, hair accessories, or even keys.  This would be an ideal item for just about anywhere, but here, I see it sitting on a dressing table.  Holding various treasures and necessities, while at the same time adding to the over all ambiance of the room.  I love all of the other items that I found to complete this dressing table.

Treasured Thursday Forty-third Edition Part II (Ingenuity Team Scavenger Hunt!)

The Scavenger Hunt game is my favorite Etsy treasury game that we play at Ingenuity!  Each week, the featured shop selects a winning treasury.  Then, the winning shop creates a list of fifteen words.  In order to participate, you have to select one item from the featured shop, and then find items for the other words.  In addition to the featured shop, five of the items must come from Ingenuity Team members.  The rest can come from other Etsy shops.  This is a lot of fun!  The featured shop last week, Sew Cro Co., selected my treasury "Scavenger Hunt 3-16-14" as the winner.
