How to Wear it Wednesday 11.18.15

It has been a busy week, and you can start to finally feel the chill in the air that marks the end of  the brief break that we have in North Texas between extremely hot to freezing cold.  With that in mind, it is always nice to curl up with a good book and relax.  This week's finds should help you to do exactly that.

Worry Jar from Feath and Kee
Worry Jar from Feath & Kee

It is not usually a good idea to carry your worries around with you.  Lighten your burden a bit by writing down your worries and putting them away in this up-cycled mason jar.  I painted it in shades of gray, with the label area in silver to remind you of silver linings.  It was listed in our shop just this week.

Vintage Nightie from RPArtandVintage

This vintage French nightie from RPArtandVintage is such a lovely tranquil blue.

Owl Pillow from Narais

Sweet and peaceful, this owl pillow from Narais is just right for propping up in style.

Organic Eye Pillow from Pure Rest

The fabric, thread, chamomile, and flax seeds are all 100% organic in this soothing eye pillow from Pure Rest.

Blue Purple Footed Mug from Muddy Waters Ceramic Creations

Handthrown, then glazed with a beautiful combination of glazes, this footed mug from Muddy Waters Ceramic Creations is just right for a nice cup of tea, or hot chocolate.

Crochet Slippers from CrasiiCoco

Adorned with lace and satin, these crochet slippers from CrasiiCoco will keep your feet warm.

Silk Velvet Robe from Cloud Hunter

Long my favorite bedding shop (heavenly duvet covers, gorgeous pillows), Cloud Hunter Co. now offers clothing.  This robe is made from dead stock silk velvet, so I imagine it is lovely to wear, and environmentally friendly.

So that is it for this week. All of the items featured here are from TEMPT Team members.  We currently have a thread  featuring Christmas items, or you can browse the member's shops.  This is a really talented group of people.  As I urge you to shop local or handmade for your Christmas and holiday gifts this year, these shops are definitely worth your time and consideration!

How to Wear it Wednesday 9.02.2015

Oh wow, it is already September!  This week, I have another fun fall outfit for you...

Recycled Wood Heart Earrings from Feath & Kee

The inspiration item from our shop is this pair of earrings.  They are made from wood recycled in our shop.  The only finish that has been added to them is linseed oil.  So they are very natural and eco-friendly.

Fox Dress from Knickerocker

So cute!  Love this dress from Knickerocker!  This is a t-shirt style dress, and it has pockets.  So in addition to adorable, it is also comfortable.

Custom Handmade Leggings from Woollywhoknots

I can't even begin to imagine how soft these leggings from Woollywhoknots are.  They are made from Alpaca fiber, but you can also request organic merino wool too.

Tourmaline Necklace from Little Bit Crazy

This delicate necklace from Little Bit Crazy is made from tourmaline stones and silver chain.

Fox Tote from Narais

In keeping with my fox theme, this fox tote bag from Narais is just the size to carry your essentials for the day.

Travel Mug Cozy from Nandy's Nook

Make sure that your mug stands out with this mug cozy from Nandy's Nook.

Kumihimo Bracelet from The Little Empty Nest

Japanese seed beads, Swarovski crystals, jasper and agate combine in this elegant bracelet from The Little Empty Nest.

Handmade Ballet Flats from The Drifter Leather

I really like the no-fuss design of these leather ballet flats from The Drifter Leather.  They are custom fitted, and you have the option of a vibram sole with piping, or a leather and vibram sole.

I hope everyone is enjoying these last warm days of Summer!  See you next week!
